Now, I for one, LOVE Rihanna. Like, most every song she puts out is dope. I even love all the ratchet she put out, like Pour It Up. Cause, I mean, it's RIHANNA! How could you possibly not like Rihanna?
Anyway, this song came out a couple months ago and I just can't stop listening to it. It's so pure & acoustic & lovely...I can't! It's such a dope song to me and it's so refreshing to hear something that doesn't sound like the other 99% of bullshit you can hear on the radio. It's just dope man....so dope! Le sigh.
Song aside, another thing I dig about this song is the video. It's so stripped down and great, it doesn't need some half naked hoes twerking or gigantic mind-numbing CGI to get people's attention. It's RIHANNA, KANYE WEST, AND PAUL MCCARTNEY THE TRUE OG. How could you possibly not like this song?
Now, I know Rihanna is a celebrity that's often duplicated. It feels like whenever she tries out a new hairstyle, it isn't long before I see somebody walking down the streets of my hood trying to portray the eternal dopiness that is Rihanna. (Nobody ever comes close btw.) But the fashion...in this video...is FLAWLESS.
Don't let anybody tell you that you can't wear a Canadian Tuxedo flawlessly. Rihanna did it.
Watching this video just makes me want to go to the thrift and dive head first into the denim section. Rihanna's giving me some 90s-TLC-baggybutsexy-I'mcreepingonthedownlow realness right now. And all of the silver accents with the necklace & the makeup? BRUH. The outfit's just all great man. It's just amazing. I'm going to be listening to FourFiveSeconds for at least the next couple months...years...decades? I don't see myself getting sick of this song anytime soon...
