WHY IS IT SO COLD OUTSIDE?!? -____-

Mother Nature just decided to reek havoc on my town. Because it...is....COLD MAN. Chances are, wherever you are is probably pretty chilly too. So, I decided to pick out a couple coats from my favorite stores. Hopefully, it'll help you pick out an adorable new coat! Because, as you probably know, it's such a struggle to stay cute in the cold. It's a hard job, but somebody's gotta do it.

COATS.

COATS. by crayolamusic featuring a quilted coat

1. Single Button Coat from Forever 21 - Super classic and cute. You can't go wrong with that.
2. Check Yourself Trench Coat from Nasty Gal - That checkerboard pattern is so adorable. It gives me a sort of 90s model off duty vibe. Effortless chic. Ah-may-zang.
3. Patterned Coat from H&M - A cheetah printed coat? Just flawless. I love to go a little out there sometimes, and this coat just lets the world know you have arrived. Attention-grabbing, but in the best way. Who doesn't want a bit of attention every once in a while hun?
4. Oversized Collar Wrap Coat from Forever 21 - I LOVE the way this coat is structured. It looks so expensive. It's like something you'd see constructed on Project Runway. Super, duper unique.
5. Candy Flip Faux Fur Coat from Nasty Gal - This. Color. Is. Completely. Gorgeous. It may not be everybody's cup of tea, but it sure is mine hunty. I bet it feels fabulous. Wooooo yes child. I need this in my life.
6. Lined Parka from H&M - This one is for those lovely lazy days. It's a coat you can just throw on, and STILL look extra cute. Even in those sweats girl. & That glorious hood will be sure to shield the wind from messing up your bomb ass hairdo. Hat not needed for you hun.

if you're looking for something to vibe to; B.O.B

I, for one, used to be really obsessed with B.O.B back in his Airplanes days. I had The Adventures of Bobby Ray on repeat. I was soooooooo in love with the album, it was just incredibly lovely to me!

Then, I had heard that B.O.B had signed with Grand Hustle. Which, I thought was okay I guess. No big deal really. T.I. is the homie; A1 since Day 1. It was all good.

Then, I heard "We Still In This Bitch"

-_-

I won't lie, even though I adore all that intellectual, poetic, and beautiful hip hop that's been coming out of the woodwork lately I still have an inkling in me that attracts me to the ratchet. But, B.O.B's came out with such beautiful music earlier with songs like Airplanes, Nothin' On You, and Don't Let Me Fall. I felt like I was smacked in the face with the ratchnicity of We Still in this Bitch. I wasn't expecting that at all from somebody like B.O.B, who I figured had such a progressive sound. I didn't dare listen to his album that came out at that time, because if it sounded like this song...I didn't want to waste my time trying to find diamonds in the skruggle.

But then, I heard "Not For Long" a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't been able to stop listening to it since.

:)

It's such a groovy song. It's reminiscent of him during his adventures of Bobby Ray days. I swear, try not to crack a smile while you're listening to this song. You're going to lose, I promise you. This song is just luminescent. This song might convert me back into a B.O.B believer.

Also, there's Trey Songz...which, you know...helps :)

Do you listen to B.O.B? Are there any songs of his that you're in love with, or any new songs in general that you've discovered lately? I'd love to know how your music taste is like.

cute or ew; FAUX SEPTUM PIERCINGS

I was never really much of a piercing girl myself. Reason being:
1. Making that type of semi-permanent commitment, scared me.
2. Needles are not the business.

So, while everyone during middle school and high school were getting nose piercings, ear piercings, and belly button piercings I was sitting pretty with the two piercings in my ear that I've had since I was a baby.

I've been content to say the least.

As the new year goes by, I've been trying to be a bit more retrospective. I've been getting a little bored of my appearance. I feel like I've looked the same way all of my life, and I've been looking for a bit of change. Nothing too drastic though. Like I said, I'm not trying to send any type of needles through my skin. The thought just makes me shudder. Ew.

I remember when I saw these pictures of Rihanna with a septum piercing at a basketball game earlier this year, and I thought that the piercing looked really cute on her. I mean, everything looks cute on Rihanna. She's Rihanna. She's worn every single hair color of the rainbow on her, and everything looks stellar. But, once I randomly researched into it the other day, I realized that the septum piercing wasn't real.

Mind blown.

I didn't even know that such a thing even existed. Fake piercings, really? I mean, I've heard of ear cuffs that resembled cartilage piercings but nothing that would go on the nose. I did what any child of the technological generation would go, I googled it.

And, it's actually a thing. A really cute thing at that.

I don't usually jump onto the trend bandwagon, which is what I think septum piercings have become as of late (because of people like Rihanna, FKA Twigs, & Lady Gaga) but the fake ones are just too cute & interesting. They are some adorable ornate designs on Amazon & Etsy that I might have to sink my teeth into. (The gold ones are GORGEOUS. I'ma get some asap.)

If you're not thinking of dropping a possible ten piece on a fake septum piercing, there's a super creative tutorial on YouTube that I even tried myself. I had to see how I'd look with the piercing first :)

So, have you tried out any fake piercings? Or, even cooler, do you have some lovely real ones? (Props to you, I don't think that I could ever do it xD) Be sure to lemme know in the comment section, I'd love to know man ! :)

if you're looking for something to vibe to; SZA

If you don't know about the first lady of TDE, you're slipping. She came out with her first studio album Z earlier this year, and it's filled with beautiful music. It's very dreamlike and groovy. You can listen to her music doing anything and everything, and it's sure to leave you mellowing out. It's like drinking a cup of Chamomile tea, it's literally that bomb dot com.
And her damn HAIR ! Look at it! It's so beautiful man! I'm so jealous. Just perfect. Go listen man, you won't regret it at all.

Here's a lovely Nia-approved song from her mixtape, See.Sza.Run. I've been so obsessed. It's time for you to be as well.

inspiration; 90s R&B & hip hop

I adore 90s music. My Spotify is filled with music from that decade. It just has a certain groove that's attractive to me; I could listen to it all my life if I really had to. It's just so smooth :) Another thing that I adore about the decade though, is the fashion. 90s fashion influences my every day dress. It's all just too darn cute to me! So, I leave you with some lovely inspiring 90s fashion.

inspired by; 7/11 - beyonce

SHOVE IT SIDE WAYS, SMACK IT SMACK IT IN THE AIR.

I, for one, love Beyonce's new song 7/11. It may not be typical "pour your heart out" emotion boo hop type Beyonce, but it's FUN. I love listening to it throughout my every day life; it's never not the time for Beyonce to say FRESHER THAN YOU HO!

Another thing I love about this song is the video, which fits perfectly into the song. It's so fun; it looks like a viral video that was made in the spur of the moment. Beyonce. Is. Everything.

& THE FASHION though! *dies* It's gorgeous. I love everything. So, I had to make a set influenced by the 7/11 video.

I KNOW YOU CARE.

I KNOW YOU CARE. by crayolamusic featuring bling jewelry

1. WCW Sweatshirt - This sweatshirt is EVERYTHING to me. I think it's sooooooo dope. I wish I had the money to buy this at this very moment, because it's a perfect snapshot of internet culture today. Women Crush Wednesday is a big thing on the internet, and to have those initials on your sweatshirt you're showcasing yourself as the WOMEN CRUSH WEDNESDAY. Cause you're dope. You've got to be, if you're reading my blog. So, kudos to you my friend. :) And it's cropped, which is such a bonus. Everything I adore is cropped these days. It's basically 1995 around my way homies.
2. Layered Chain Head Piece - One of the most eye-catching looks of Beyonce's video, is her Nefertiti inspired look at the end of the video. Her jewelry in this scene is BEAUTIFUL to me, and I think that the look could be easily brought into your real life (toned down of course) with a head chain. It's like wearing a crown...without wearing an actual crown. This one from Forever 21 is beautiful to me, and it's not that expensive at all. I have some head chains that I bought in my jewelry box...but I also have some DIY'd ones. So, this look is particularly easy to grasp for your own every day life, without taking too much time or your wallet.
3. Bamboo Earrings - You can get these from any beauty supply store around you. Girl, these gotta be easy to grab babe.
4. HUF Socks - Who needs shoes when you're too busy shoving shoulders sideways, and smacking it in the air. Keep booging girl. Love the weed socks; they're too cute. I need them in my life; I'd wear them allll around the house all the time.
5. High Waisted Distressed Jeans - Girllllllll, you know where to get these hun. They are EVERYWHERE. I'd recommend getting them from a thrift store. They are so many hidden gems at the thrift store that nobody's going for, and you've gotta go snag that. Distressing them, isn't that hard either hun.

Here's a super adorable, Nia-approved tutorial for distressing your own jeans.

Now go out there, & kill it babes! Turn up! 2015! It's a new year, so you know you've got to swag on them. It's only right hun lol
