i'm coming home again;

i'm coming home again.

My homecoming is in about two weeks, and I couldn't be more excited.
I take every chance I can to go blow money on a beautiful dress and dance the night away. But, like always I have to stick to a budget. :( Damn you budgets!!!
The homecoming dress that I did buy is quite beautiful though. It's that same dress in grey, and I also got it for a whopping $24 dollars. Can you say bargain? :D It's sitting in my closet right now in all it's wonderful glory. But I've always wondered how it would be if I had Oprah type of money and could blow it on whatever dress, accessories, or whatever I could.
1. Nasty Gal Victoria Peplum Dress - I love the Peplum Trend, and this dress just exudes quirk and uniqueness without it not being formal enough to wear to homecoming. The color is beautiful and eye striking. If I walked into homecoming with this on everybody would be like "Z0mg who's dat girl the dress is gorg" (cue Who's That Chick) And, it's short, but not short enough that I'm going to worry all night if I'm flashing the world.
2. Steve Madden Leopard Wedges - Animal print is my life. Animal print on a wedge? I'm dyingggg. I've been trying to get into wedges lately; there's a black pair from Urban Outfitters in my closet that I can't seem to wear outside of my room. It's a sad life. But if I had these to wear, I'd feel too fierce on the dance floor. Even though most of us girls at my school wear our shoes for about thirty minutes at Homecoming then take them off, but for those thirty minutes I'd be the fiercest chick in the world.
3. Black Satin Bow Clutch - This clutch is so pretty. The bow detail is subtle because it's the same color, but it still feels fab. And it's big enough to hold my bulky iPhone in, how wonderful :)
4. Thessaly Earrings - How amazingly gorgeous are these earrings? I wish I had the one hundred and thirty dollars to blow. That'd be quite amazing. I'd feel like a descendant of Nefertiti with these earrings on. So beautiful.
5. Christie Stud + Spike Bracelet - I love this bracelet. It's a little spark of punk, and it's more casual to I can totally wear it every day and not just homecoming.

Le sigh.
Oprah, would you like to fund my homecoming?

So, tell me, what are you wearing to your homecoming this year? Or, what's your favorite outfit that you wore to homecoming?
I'm dying to know :)

Nia

allow me to reintroduce myself;

Today, I thought I'd make a blog.
I want to be a journalist when I grow up, and get out of this small town.
(Insert Cliche Here)
But yes, I thought this would be some good practice.
Mi nombre es Nia. (I knew those Spanish classes ages ago would come in handy someday.)
I'm seventeen years old.
I quite love fashion, and I just adore the fact that you can say so much without even speaking a word.
I don't even know how to categorize my style really....
I guess you could say that I dress...different? Elle oh elle. :)
I don't think I could conquer the world every day without tights. Even though most of mine have a rip in them, I adore my tights.
I love the thrift store.
Maybe it's because I'm broke and can't really afford going to Urban Outfitters every weekend sadly, but I'd much rather go to the thrift store than most places in the mall. There's a story behind each garment, and it's quite amazing to me. I have soooo many thrifted pieces of clothes in my closet it's ridiculous. It's probably about that time to continue the cycle and bring some of my clothes to the thrift store....I'll get to that :)
Music is my life.
Some people that I can name off the top of my head that I like are Frank Ocean, Miguel, The Weeknd, Rihanna, Christina Perri, Chris Brown, Diggy, Drake, Beyonce, and Justin Bieber. This blog will probably have loads of music in there, because it wouldn't be my blog if it didn't! I'm also completely open to suggestions, my iPod's never full enough ^___^
I'm also really into 90s fashion and music. I swear, I was probably born into the wrong decade. I could wear high waisted jean shorts for life, like you don't even knoooowwwwwwww how amazing they are to me.
I think I have like seven pairs.
Sadly it's getting cold so I can't wear them as often. :(
It's a problem. But I'll deal.
I guess that's probably enough for now.
I cannot wait to see what the future will hold with this blog! Until next time-
